ARO: address change

Note: The zip code for the ARO (Admissibility Review Office/U.S. Customs and Border Protection) recently changed and the current I-192 application form still shows the incorrect older zip code. The correct address is:

12825 Worldgate Drive, Herndon, VA 20598-1340.

  3. I have stumbled across postings in other posts on this forum regarding new lengthier processing times. At 4 months mark I never got any response (except automated notification email request was received). Now at 5 months - the new automated reply is "ATTENTION: This mailbox will be shut down for required maintenance. No inquires will be responded to until further notice." What is that all about. Can someone shed some light on this situation?

  5. BIG WARNING FOR ALL OF YOU ON HERE: DO NOT, I mean DO NOT email ARO for status updates!!
I did, amd I've been waiting over 19 months now. Here's proof of why you shouldn't (scroll down to "CHECKING THE STATUS OF YOUR WAIVER REQUEST":

  6. Well, it should not take 19 months for them to adjudicate it. It could be something that you put on your us entry waiver application and should not have. We get waivers back in 3-9 months and the general rule is the more serious the crime, the faster they tend to get approved.

Plus, not every offence will even require a us entry waiver.

  7. @ Immigration Guy:

Well it has taken 19 Months, so while I agree with you that it shouldn't take that long, I can only conclude that the 5 emails I've sent to ARO in that time haven't helped.
Couple that woth the fact that they pretty much state on their site that any email inquiry to ARO could add to your wait time.
