What is the cutoff for being denied entry due to a criminal record?
ReplyDeleteThere is no cutoff. Americans who are criminally inadmissible to Canada due to a single misdemeanor conviction will become "deemed rehabilitated" 10 years after full completion of their sentence, but no such provision exists for Canadians crossing the American border. Then again, the US border does not deny entry to Canadians for have a DUI, but entering Canada with a DUI can cause issues.

Yea if you're worried about being denied entry to USA you need a US Entry Waiver, if you're worried about being denied entry to Canada you need a Temporary Resident Permit.
